I don’t know much about any of it, but am interested. I’ve heared of hatha yoga, but I know there are many different forms or types of it. Can someone break this down for me a little bit, and explain what each includes?

Shayna B asked:

I know there are certain moves you shouldn’t do, does anyone know what they are, is a traditional yoga video ok if I know what they are?

ryansoccer21m asked:

What types of Yoga would be good for soccer? I know there are different types but am not entirely sure which to try that would best suited for physical fitness for soccer performance. Thanks in advance.

Iam doing a report on yoga for my indpented study P.E. class and I’m running out of ideas.
I already have:
begginers moves

and benifts

What else could I talk about?

conundrum asked:

I’m looking for a book that covers all the different aspects of yoga as well as all the types of yoga. I just started doing what I think is called Astanga yoga. I am so confused though because there are so many different words to remember and different types of yoga (ie. plasha yoga, asana, and I can’t remember all the rest). I want something like an encyclopedia of yoga, so that I can learn about the philosophy, the types of yoga, the meanings of all the words, the history, the poses, the mantras, etc. I don’t want a book that focuses on just one type of yoga or on just one aspect of yoga. There are plenty of those. It’s like a wild goose chase trying to find the essential stuff to read. Is there a book that covers all of the yogas?

Ruby asked:

I wanted one that will help me tone up and lose a bit of weight while also helps get rid of stress and will also help me relax.

curious asked:

I know there are different types of yoga. Which is for someone who has a build of 5′5″ and 110 pounds ( so no weight loss, or heavy-sweating type yoga)? I just want to maintain flexibility and give myself more energy without coffee.

jersey girl in exile asked:

These two types of Yoga are so different, is it beneficial to do both or do you focus on only one? Kundalini is far more aggressive in it’s physical approach but also has more chanting. Very different from Hatha Yoga! But I enjoy both approaches.

What do the Yoga experts say?
