It doesn’t feel like there is much cardio involved. It feels easy to do and I love it but I’m trying to loose weight. Is it good enough to do Yoga 20 min a day or do I have to run or bike or something also?

Is it vital to join a yoga studio and/or have an instructor, or is there a do-it-yourself way with the basic poses? I was thinking something like a yoga deck of cards (is there such a thing?), where I could shuffle the poses to get a different workout every time. I have a bunch of videos, but they’re tedious after a while. If joining a class is the best way, please be honest! Thanks!

I really know nothing of the two other than that they are similar in some ways and different in others. I would like to have some sort of exercise I can do at home since I won’t have as much free time to go to the gym anymore. I would like to do exercises that tone my body overall. Gaining strength would be nice but it’s not as important. I’ve heard that yoga is more about stress release and meditation but can it also be used as a workout? Thanks for the help!

Can you do yoga the same day you do a lifting workout, or would that be over training ?

I figure it only makes sense that having more or less air in your yoga ball has to make a difference to your workout. Which way is gonna to make th most difference when using it as a seat at my desk?
